SubjectPossible problems for Device or resource busy?
Hi,
After reading the box on the sound card, I read the following:
* PnP under Win 95, Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster Pro, MPC3, Window Sound System,
Win 3.1, Dos 5.0 or higher, General MIDI

Apparantly, it must be MSS/WSS compatible, correct?
I used kernel 2.1.101 this time, since it has worked for me well lately. After
compiling all sound drivers as modules, including sb and ad1848, I rebooted and
retried loading the modules. I loaded sound.o and uart401.o
Instead of loading sb.o I tried ad1848.o with io=0x0220 irq=7 dma=1
It still gave me: init_module: Device or resource busy
It does the same with sb.o as well.
According to Readme.cards, some MSS/WSS sound cards might need initialization
from DOS. One problem I have is that the drivers are on a CD and I don't have a
CDROM drive. However, the drivers are made by some company with a web address
www.mmcd.com -- but those drivers don't help me a bit.
Any ideas?
