Works fine here on a VIA VP2 based board with three UDMA IDE drives.

hda: WDC AC12100L, 2014MB w/256kB Cache, CHS=4092/16/63, UDMA
hdb: WDC AC22000L, 1907MB w/256kB Cache, CHS=3876/16/63, UDMA
hdc: WDC AC24300L, 4112MB w/256kB Cache, CHS=8912/15/63, UDMA
