Perhaps we should have been more backwards compatible
when creating the original kmod patch. I'll keep that in mind
in the future.
Anyways, I suggest you either a) get the patch that Adam
Richter <adam@yggdrasil.com> posted last evening (Subject: 2.1.97
PATCH for daemonless kmod, latest version) or b) wait until Linus puts
it into the kernel.
