I have a feeling this is a FAQ, but I couldn't find it..
How much RAM is linux supposed to be able to handle? I was trying to run 2.1.91 on a x86-box with 2GB RAM, and it crashed (rebooted) instantly (after LILO loaded the kernel) with mem=2048M and mem=1024M. It runs fine with mem=512M. I haven't tried anything between 512 and 1024 yet.
Are there any plans to support 4GB RAM (on x86)? And/or more than 4GB? I've been told the architecture supports 64GB maximum.
Thanks, -- Frode Vatvedt Fjeld
