Upon checking the syslog msgs I find this.
Apr 20 00:01:48 panasync pppd[1289]: Exit. Apr 20 00:02:36 panasync kernel: PPP: ppp line discipline successfully unregist Apr 20 00:19:05 panasync -- MARK -- Apr 20 00:19:09 panasync named[263]: Cleaned cache of 74 RRs
{more cleaned for brevity}
Apr 20 02:39:05 panasync -- MARK -- Apr 20 02:59:05 panasync -- MARK -- Apr 20 06:57:28 panasync syslogd 1.3-3: restart. Apr 20 06:57:29 panasync kernel: klogd 1.3-3, log source = /proc/kmsg started. Apr 20 06:57:29 panasync kernel: Loaded 5570 symbols from /boot/System.map. Apr 20 06:57:29 panasync kernel: Symbols match kernel version 2.1.97. Apr 20 06:57:29 panasync kernel: Error seeking in /dev/kmem Apr 20 06:57:29 panasync kernel: Error adding kernel module table entry.
Notice that at 12:01am I exited pppd. 2:59am is the last -- MARK -- entry and at 6:57am the system was rebooted... Also what's up with the error seeking in /dev/kmem. Is there a new klogd?
