While compiling 2.1.92 (running 2.1.92) with the 16MB machine fairly loaded up (under 2MB of free RAM when compile started), I get:
gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -D__SMP__ -pipe -fno-strength-reduce -m486 -DCPU=486 -D__SMP__ -DEXPORT_SYMTAB -c ide.c cpp: output pipe has been closed gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 6 make[3]: *** [ide.o] Error 1
That is the first one of these I have seen. I compiled 2.1.92 while running 2.1.91 and after clearing RAM out to only what was needed to run the system.
George Bonser Just be thankful that Microsoft does not manufacture pharmaceuticals. http://www.debian.org Debian/GNU Linux ... the maintainable operating system.
