Sorry for disappointing you, but 2.1.96 and 2.1.97 with your patch applied
still dies with symptoms being exactly the same as with your previous
patch :((

SCSI (aic7xxx, BT-958, ncr53c8xx) works fine. All the hardware works like a
charm under heavily patched SMP 2.0.33...

BTW, hisax.o and wanpipe.o have unresolved symbols through at least 10 last
kernels :(( Does anybody care?
