You must upgrade the 'config.guess' program.. older gcc's come with older config.guess's. You can find one from basically any other source distribution you can type 'configure' on :)
Of course, that'll simply let GCC know what arch you have, if it doesn't have support for PPC.. it won't work anyway :)
