SubjectAIC7xxx driver and 2.1.94
Date
Hi all

I have just downloaded 2.1.94 and after running 'make config' then 'make
bzdisk' (so if it does work I can pull the flopppy and boot off old kernel),
I get the following errors:

aic7xxx.c: In function 'aic7xxx_detect':
aic7xxx.c: 5684: warning: unused variable 'i'
aic7xxx.c: 5682: warning: unused variable 'chan_num'
aic7xxx.c: 5680:: warning: unused variable 'chip_class'
make[3]: *** [aic7xxx.o] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory 'usr/src/linux-2.1.94/drivers/scsi'
make[2]: *** [first_rule] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory 'usr/src/linux-2.1.94/drivers/scsi'
make[1]: *** [sub_dirs] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory 'usr/src/linux-2.1.94/drivers'
make: *** [linuxsubdirs] Error 2

Now, I am not much of a OS or C programmer, but (and correct me if I am
wrong) there don't seem to be any errors, just warnings. gcc shouldn't spew
at unused variables. I don't know what kind of info you would need to fix
this but here's a brief summary of the machine.
