Hi,
I would like also that the kernel locks IO regions which are known to be used by the graphic card (io request, cat /proc/ioport), not only VGA ones. That would help people configuring their systems, once I had a problem with "standart COM7" and the video clock of my card (IO area only locked when running X)...
