SubjectRe: swap duplicate messages on 2.1.90

(this was added later: most of these errors, as i've understood it is due
to the fact i have to little memory in the machine but i still thought i
should send it to the list, sorry if you think i shouldnt have done that)

hope this can help some for you...though i doubt it as this is a pretty
lately sent mail and most of the messages as i can see it comes from the
fact i dont have enough memory and swap.

I tried running that little script yesterday when i first saw your mail. I
got quite a bit more funky messages from it. First of all, all tty's
locked up and nothing happened when i tried typing with the keyboard. The
only thing i could do was to change consoles with alt-Fx.

Most of these errors seems to be connected with the memory in my eyes.
Even if so, i will give a total hardware spec., 20 meg ram, 32 meg swap,
cyrix 586, AST Advantage with(irrelevant maybe, but i add this info
anyways) Ethernet card and EIDEMAX from Promise Inc.

Kernel 2.1.88, no patches, libc 5.4.23, ld.so 1.9.6 and gcc 2.7.2.3

The computer was still working after 1 hour so i desided to goto bed with
it running and now when i woke up i got the following error messages
spread out all over every VT:

(tty1)
swipnet:/usr/src/linux/kernel$ ps
bash: fork: Out of memory
swipnet:/usr/src/linux/kernel$ psps
bash: fork: Out of memory
swipnet:/usr/src/linux/kernel$
swipnet:/usr/src/linux/kernel$
swipnet:/usr/src/linux/kernel$ ps
PID TTY STAT TIME COMMAND
xcalloc: allocation error, size = 240

(these errors, as well as most of the others i didnt see until today but i
typed them in last night so i guess my system was kind of busy=).)

(tty2)
nothing, incredibly enough. This was also the console i was running pine
on.

(tty3)
./_: fork: Out of memory
bash: Out of virtual memory!
./_: Out of virtual memory!
bash: Out of virtual memory!
bash: Out of virtual memory!
./_: fork: Out of memory
bash: Out of virtual memory!
bash: Out of virtual memory!
./_: fork: Out of memory

[and a lot more but its all the same errors anyways, this is the VT i ran
the script from in fact. I suppose these errors dumped on the screen when
the virtual memory was filled]

(tty4)

You have mail in /var/spool/mail/blueflux
swipnet:~$ ijpgw

Unable to load interpreter

(this one im annoyed about, would someone care to translate the last part
'unable to load interpreter', as far as i can understand it, the
interpreter is bash. The only problem if it's supposedly bash, it still
works now when i typed ls and then returned to normal.)

This is all i can find in syslog(sorry for the bad layout, i cut&pasted
it from syslog):

AAhhh, i just found some other messages in /var/log/messages about
sendmail. Anyways here are those too:

She dresses in white but her heart's as black as sin
Her legs are wrapped around me, feel her crawl across my skin
As she sucks the life out of me, I cant fly any more
And I shiver and I shudder and surrender to the Whore.
