Will 2.0.34 compile with egcs/pgcc/gcc280? If so, I'd petition our godsend
leader to release 2.0.34: upgrading to 2.0.34 is an easy in place
operation, while many ppl will wait for the upgrade to 2.2.x till the
distribution makers upgrade.
