Hello,
I'm trying to use the ftape driver in 2.1.8x. It seems to write files out okay (using the builtin compression), but when I try to read back the volume I get "tape read error: Invalid argument" with dump-0.3-11 (RedHat 5.0). I can't cat the device either; get Invalid argument there, too. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is ftape broken?
Also, ftape appears to be the only driver that sets it modules with use-counts of -1. Doesn't that seem bogus?
thanks, -bp -- B. James Phillippe <bryan@terran.org> Linux Software Engineer, WGT Inc. http://earth.terran.org/~bryan
