This is already a release-critical bug on the Debian deliver package,
reported 20 Nov 1998 by our friend Miquel. :)

http://www.debian.org/Bugs/db/29/29781.html

Package: deliver
Version: 2.1.13-2
Severity: critical

Deliver doesn't do dotlocking as per the Debian Policy guidelines.
This can (and will!) result in corrupted mailboxes and lost mail.
Deliver is perfectly capable of doing this but has been compiled with
the wrong options.

Please:

- turn on HAS_NFS in config.h
- turn on ML_DOTLOCK in conf/os-linux.h

Ben
