i have to disagree here, 'purist' and 'done right' are two completely different things :) While the main tree _tries_ to be 'done right', if it was 'purist', we'd be still in 1991, discussing the theoretical cleanliness of allowing x86 segmentation into a generic microkernel OS ;)
