Hello,
I just gave 2.1.131-ac9 a whirl (man does it seem fast on the disk IO!). It seems to have a problem that 2.1.131 does not; my sound card is totally silent. It is compiled into the kernel and is detected same as before:

My system is a DEC AlphaStation 200 with MSS-compatible sound card.
