Subjectv2.1.126: Total freeze with simply bulk copy... :-(
From
Date

Hi!

The following command totally freezes v2.1.126 after a while:

dd if=/dev/sdc0 of=/dev/null

with /dev/sdc0 my cdrom drive.

The following modules are inserted

sr_mod 17900 1 (autoclean)
cdrom 11424 0 (autoclean) [sr_mod]
isofs 16204 1 (autoclean)

Even if the CD has a damaged surface, the kernel should not freeze, I think.
In /var/adm/syslog I cannot find anything valuable...

KEEP HACKING!
