Hello,
I've posted a report yesterday where I've said I had a systematic Kernel Panic if I try to mount a CDDA (Audio CD) on a SCSI drive. I have more informations. A friend of mine got the same with 126 kernel, I have tried with 105 it crashes but it works with 2.1.86. I have no archives between 86 and 105 at home, but the changes occured between. For information, the SCSI card is a 1505 Adaptec and the SCSI drive a recorder Yamaha crw2260. On the aother machine, the scsi adapter is the same, and the drive is a plextor. Anyone with the same pb on a real 1520 scsi adapter ?
Now, on my kernel panic, I have the aha152x driver that says a lot of things : << sr0 CD-ROM error: extra data not valid Current error: sr0b:00: Sense Key Illegal Request Additional sense indicates Illegal mode for this track Command was: Request sense 00 00 00 10 00
aha152x: target left COMMAND issue_SC: current_SC: 0x0091c00: target=3; lun=0; phase |send_indent|; in other (COMMAND); next=0x00000000 disconected_SC:
on bus: SCSIEQ(); SCSISIG(STATUS); INTSTAT(hi); SSTAT(SELDO SWRAP PHASEMIS PHASECHG REQINIT); SSTAT(PHASEMIS REQINIT); SXFRCTL0(CH1); SIGNAL(BSYI REQI); SELID(88); SSTAT2(SEMPTY); SFCNT(0); SCSICNT(0); OFFCNT(0); SSTAT4(); DMACNTRL0(16BIT PIO READ); DMASTAT(DFIFOEMP)
enabled interrupts (EMPHASEMIS ENBUSFREE ENREQINIT)
Kernel panic: aha152x panic In interrupt handler - not syncing >> I have manually retyped this, since the kernel stops (not even SysRq works), so if you think I have typed a mistake, just asked me, I have a manual report plus a screenshot. Of course, nothing in the logs.
Now, I have looked a little in the aha152x.c, but the diffs between 2.1.125 aha152x.c and 2.1.86 aha152x.c (which just display an err msg) make me think that the problem isn't in the 152x.c file.
Hope this can help, and sorry not to send a answer with the problem :(
