I had an old 2.1.77 kernel and modules still on my harddisc and this one
showed the same behaviour. In fact it was even worse.
Do you want the results of 2.0.3[5,6] or a more recent 2.1. kernel?

seyon works fine on 2.1.77.

sz/rz (rz on my local machine) gave me a transferrate of about 3100 bytes/sec
with a 31200 connect (4 errors while transmitting a 1MB testfile).
This seems a bit slow too, but the errors may cause this. I'm not sure if I
should get errors here at all, because the modem should cope with this itself.
Am I loosing bytes somewhere? Maybe in the serial driver?

I think I will try another serial cable and software flow control to see if
I have serial problems.
