Well, IMHO, I would like to see three things in the kernel:
1) ability to compile kernel on "server" which has kernel sources being exported RO, and be able then on clients type 'make install_modules' to install the kernel. -- it is currently broken.
2) abilty to export sources RO to client and compile them on client; perhaps by doing lndir command first to duplicate the sources. -- it is currently broken as well.
3) It would be cool to have FreeBSD-style ability of compile where all object files goes to different directory. In this way I would not 'pollute' the sources with object files.
Is it just me who would like to see such feature? What does those-in-power think about it?
