Hello,
I just wanted to tell you, that at least on 2.1.122 (didn't test anything newer) it is again possible, to run NFS-Root over ARCNet.
It didn't work in 2.1.82 and the following kernels, but especially David Woodhouse helped to fix some arcnet driver bugs.
Thanks to all here - now my second machine is able to run Linux without having Linux installed on it. (OK, running X over a 1.5Mbps line is not *that* fun, but it's OK :-))
