I don't see why this would be a devfs problem. I've got a SoundBlaster
16 and it works fine with devfs. If all required modules are loaded,
then there shouldn't even be any dangling/NULL pointers.
Please let me know if the problem persists/goes away with a non-devfs
kernel.
