    This is an interesting information.

    A friend of mine writes software for frame grabbing cards like the
    BTTV and he always says: "Once the grabber loses its sync, then many
    times the synced irq gets lost and then the grabber is toast".

    We had these problems with video digitizing and the RealVideo Encoder
    under WinNT.

    Maybe you have some problem with interrupt handling?
