Could you also distribute as a diff against newest (non-pre) kernel? That should allow people to start using the davem tree withought downloading a nine meg whopper. (Unless that diff aproches the size of a straight .tar.gz, in which case it's not really worth it.) For me, at least, a nine megger is a signifacant download. (I'm going to download it tonight anyway, so it won't matter to me, but...)
