Hello,
I am running Slakware 3.3 with 2.0.30 kernel on a Pentium II 233 mhz with 128mb RAM. The problem is that the system is only seeing 64mb RAM but the bios will see 128. Is there any patches out there to fix the problem? Are there any patches that are specificly for the Pentium II processors?
Here is the memory info I get running "free"
total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 63272 62316 956 14476 41048 8448 -/+ buffers: 12820 50452 Swap: 0 0 0
here is some info using "top"
CPU states: 0.3% user, 0.1% system, 0.5% nice, 99.5% idle Mem: 63272K av, 62032K used, 1240K free, 13568K shrd, 41032K buff Swap: 0K av, 0K used, 0K free 8452K cached
I'm not sure if it really is using the memory but not showing it or if it really not seeing it at all... weird! ;)
thanks.
