inode-nr is just the first two entries in the inodes_stat structure, so I figured why duplicate the entries in two places?
max_inodes is assigned NR_INODE which it picks up from fs.h, but it is not referenced anywhere else in the kernel, aside from having a sysctl entry. Seems kind of pointless to keep to me.
