no! the idea of /proc/pci is to get just this id -> name translation
out of the kernel into user space, so it can be updated independantly...

maybe having a generic /proc/pci device which just mapps all PCI buses' config spaces
linerly might be nice too, so that it's not needed to use directory operations
all the time to figure out which devices are around ?!
