SubjectHard drive DMA problem - full info

Hi,

I can repeatably cause problems with Triton DMA transfers by doing the
following;

dd if=/dev/hdc of=/dev/null bs=<arbitrary value>

After a while I get IRQ timeouts, and DMA is disabled. Re-enabling it
again causes the problems to repeat shortly afterwards. The problems only
seem to occur regularly when DMA'ing near the start of the disk -- the
throughput is higher there.

Kernel log info...

Does this look indicative of any problems anyone else has seen?

Here's the drive info:

Someone mailed me awho has an identical drive working fine, although
perhaps they had it on ide0 not ide1?

I'll be performing drive swaps later on to see if I perhaps have a buggy
m/board.

Cheers,
Chris
