echo 7 > /proc/parport/0/irq OOPSed on me. Doing it a second time caused another oops, and additionally froze the bash session which did it (stuck in kernel code, apparently, as kill -9 doesn't work).
(I'm using parport_pc as the low-level driver, if that helps)
