SubjectRe: 2.0.30 and the aic7xxx driver
I got a few more reports from people using the Jul27 aic7xxx
driver. Most were positive, one however was interesting:

The system is a (single CPU) PPro, and has two disks, a
seagate and a 4GB IBM DCAS. The kernel crashed while trying to
read the partition table of the second (IBM) drive, with
something like "scheduling in interrupt handler, xxx may not sleep".
Disabling external termination (it was "auto" before) in the
SCSI BIOS helped.
