FWIW, I made the same "changeover" from FPM to EDO RAM recently and also
have an NCR810 based card (DTC 3130) on an ASUS P54T2P4 (yes, P54, the
430FX board). I am running kernel 2.0.30 and have not noticed any
strangeness as you have reported. I am running a single Seagate 535MB
hard drive (internally) and a Pioneer changer externally. Everything
worked great before and after the additional of EDO RAM.
