Easy....

# kill -TERM -1 .. kill everything except you
# kill -KILL -1
# sync .. un-mounts faster
# umount -a .. unmount all file-systems (/ is now R/O)
# fsck -f / .. force checking of "/"
# reboot (or shutdown -r now)
