When runing 2.1.42 as an SMP, I get crashes when stress testing my MD scsi raid (usually in about 20 passes on a 1G file). The failing processor is always #1 (never 0). If I run the same software with bios set to single processor mode, the system never fails. An interesting side effect in the UP case is that the utilizations are shown to be zero. I don't think that this can be blamed on the relative speed caused by changing from SMP to UP since no matter how slow I run the SMP or fow fast I runt eh uni, the SMP always crashs and the UP never does.
Any ideas?
