It sounds like either you've got the wrong device as your root dev,
or you don't have support compiled in to your kernel. Did you remember
to include ext2fs support? For the root dev, 03:02 corresponds to
/dev/hda2. If this isn't your root, you can get around this with
root=/dev/hdxx
on the lilo command line.
