I've this sort of problem too: when I activate the IRQ support on the
lp driver, my printer receives a block (led flashing), prints some, and
wait for another block that lp doesn't send to it. I watched the IRQ
counter and it stays at 2. But when I disactivate the IRQ support, all
works fine. I check my BIOS: the LP-IRQ is activated ...

I'm using Linux 2.1.36, an EPSON Stylus Color II and an P/I-P55T2P4
motherboard.
