I just looked at the timestamp on the patches of the kernel and noticed that 2.1.36 looked as follows on linux.kernel.org -rw-rw-r-- 1 502 101 407461 Apr 24 01:49 patch-2.1.36.gz It's around 11:55 pm on the 23rd here in Eastern US (EST) so if the site is in the US and Linus is developing in the us then the timestamp doesnt reflect that - Not that it makes a great difference :).
