SubjectRe: 3c59x fails to work in 2.0.30
Yep! I'm using a 3c90x in a Dell P6-200/32 (I don't know the exact
model).
I had the same problem you have found so I pulled a fast one. I took
the
3c590 module from RedHat 4.1, edited it with vi to change it from 2.0.27
to 2.0.30, and then loaded it right up. My machine has been taking a
beating and I haven't had a single problem!

Just don't ask me what the REAL problem is . . .
