And it'll never have a shade of a chance in even a semi-demanding environment without stable, good, reliable releases. 2.0.29 *_IS_* a release kernel- if it doesn't work for you, you have three choices:
1. Contribute!! =) patch it!! 2. Wait patiently for the next release from Linus. He's busy; leave him alone if you can. 3. Drop back to an earlier release kernel, if necessary. (and only if..)
I personally can't use a release with bugs on a mission-critical box-o-network-cards.... I'm waiting like everyone else.. =)
