Thanks, this was an amazingly quick reply! Since I am now trying to prepare a machine for use by non-professionals, I think I'll go back to 2.0.29 (There are other small problems like SO_SNDBUF limits and sound+floppy failures to allocate DMA buffers that might confuse expected users)
