I have a 3com 3c509B, and a Lance PCNet32 as my ethernet cards for my two-computer network. With both systems running David Miller's pre2.0.30 kernel, I experience frequent TCP stalls. If I ping the other host, TCP flows quickly. For a short while. Then it stalls again. NFS (UDP) filesystems are unaffected by this, except again, it stalls during the 'mounting remote filesystems' of my bootup, which negotiates TCP connections for the portmapper.
If one systems reverts back to 2.0.29, TCP works smoothly. I have reverted both my systems back to vanilla 2.0.29.
