I have this funny feeling that my linux partition is starting to die... I am using v 2.1.26. I was just using ftp, and I got a message that looked exactly like this. (This is not the first of this type.)
Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address cb3bc198 current->tss.cr3 = 02947000, %cr3 = 02947000 *pde = 00000000 Oops: 0000 CPU: 0 EIP: 0010:[<c01269cc>] EFLAGS: 00010282 eax: cb3bc198 ebx: c19f0303 ecx: 00000400 edx: 0000035c esi: 00000303 edi: 0002d05f ebp: 00000400 esp: c3bdee70 ds: 0018 es: 0018 ss: 0018 Process ftp (pid: 970, process nr: 32, stackpage=c3bde000) Stack: c19f5018 0002d05f 00000303 00000001 00000000 0000035c c0127d75 00000303 0002d05f 00000400 c3bdef20 00000050 00000000 c39ff7c0 0002d05f 00000303 00000100 c19f5098 c2a00303 00000000 c19f5098 c015f80d c2a08d98 c3bdef1c Call Trace: [<c0127d75>] [<c015f80d>] [<c012819b>] [<c011dc29>] [<c011dcf8>] [<c011e08a>] [<c0124f1b>] [<c010a3f8>] Code: 39 38 75 24 66 39 58 04 75 1e 39 68 20 74 22 56 e8 1f fa ff Segmentation fault
What does this mean? I need to be able to fix it. Thank you, William Bradley
