(CC'ed to minyard@wf-rch.cirr.com, as he seems to be the guy in charge of the cdu31a driver, which the cdu33a uses)

I also seem to have this problem. Here's my description:
mounted CD with "mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt" "cd /mnt" "ls /mnt" (directory listed fine) I pushed the eject button on the CD device at this point, but it did not eject. Thinking that perhaps this was because I had not umounted, I typed "cd" but nothing happened. My system was locked.
My hardware: Sony CDU33a connected to Sound Blaster 16 (0x230,0)
Generic motherboard, Pentium 60, 16MB RAM
My software: Kernel 2.1.26 kerneld, with isofs and cdu31a as modules. avatar@ulfheim:~# mount -V mount: mount-2.6 Mike -- ---.-- Thinking of Maud you forget everything else.--More-- |{....
