Has anyone written a disk compression system for Linux? Ideally, I'd like to be able to mount a compressed ext2 filesystem from a hard disk into my filesystem as usual. The root FS needn't be compressed.
And yes, I do know how ridiculously cheap hard disk space is nowadays, however I am but a poor student.
