The standard sources which come with the loop device and mount have
according to Ian Goldberg quite some problems with the encryption keys. If
I recall correctly your pass phrase could be so long but only the first
few bytes were used. Anyway those things are fixed in his patches and you
get stegangraphy as bonus. The patches are quite small and wouldnt
encoumber the kernel IMHO more as it is already.
