Hi,
We have a cheapo NE2000 clone card. It has EEPROM on board.
For one reason or another, the port is set to the wrong type, and the setup disk is absent/missing/lost...
Unfortunately, there is a Winbond chip on board, to handle the EEPROM settings, and we have only been able to find setup programs for the AT/LANTIC chips (under both DOS *and* linux) for this.
Additionally, a setup disk we have for another WinBond based card (same chip id) refuses to start, unless the specific card is there. If this check were bypassed, we could presumably change to settings.
Help?
Cheers, Matthew
