*sigh* - Maybe I've been hanging around some of the live-chat type areas too long.. but I _HAVE_ to answer this!
GGI is _ALMOST_ ready for inclusion into the kernel - for 2.3 definitely.... and it IS a graphics abstraction layer... (still in development)
