SubjectRe: where is my memory going??

I still have a memory leak in 2.0.33 with a PPP firewall/gateway...
(and none of the prior kernels is particularily stable in comparison - so
I have to reboot every few days). The system only has 8M of ram (486
SLC-33) and the memory seems to dissappear from that which makes me think
it's the kernel rather than userspace leaking. (I added 64M swapfile just
to test and it didn't make any difference - the system eventually (after
a week) crashed).

Any ideas?
G'day, eh? :)

[the system runs PPP, diald, libc-5.4.33 (iirc) and a buncha fetchmail
daemons and the occasional pop-3 server.. That's about all :]

(I can give more info if asked - though I'm about a half-hour walk from
the machine right now)
