I had simmilar problems: The only thing that worked after the partch of Henner Eisen. The only thing that worked with 2.1.74 and 71 is X.75 with a mailbox - but not with asyncPPP (on X75) and not with syncPPP. So my first guess is, that the problem meight be in the network-stuff????
