I telneted to theduke and when i went into another user account i did a ls -la and saw this (even in donahoo) :
drwxrwxr-x 3 ftpadmin ftpadmin 1024 Nov 14 11:06 . drwxr-xr-x 11 jga jga 1024 Nov 14 12:55 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 ftpadmin ftpadmin 3785 Aug 22 1996 .Xdefaults
why am I the owner of ".."? I noticed on 2.0.30 (interzone) that when i go into a user dir not owned by me, it will not allow me to get a dir listing but on mine it does and theduke as well... but on mine the ".." dir is owned by root as well as interzone. ony theduke showed me as the owner of ".." in another users dir. :(
theduke is a 2.0.32 machine with shadow passwords enabled... alien (my machine)is 2.0.32 and was shadowed but i converted back to normal.
