Running linux-2.1.61 on the NFS client and 2.0.29 on the nfs server. During a 'cvs tag' on the linux-2.1 source tree, the following error occured (strace output):
open("/usr/local/CVS/linux-2.1/arch/i386/#cvs.wfl.loki.21450", \ O_RDWR|O_CREAT|O_TRUNC, 0666) = -1 EISDIR (Is a directory)
I think the error should be ENOENT, because the file doens't exist (it's the lock file created by cvs itself) This error is bad, because cvs aborts with an error message (they chack errno to decide what to do if this open fails, i think.
Because i (currently) have no idea how the dentry stuff work, i can't provide more information. --- Michael Lausch/g.a.m.s. edv dienstleistungen gmbh See my web page <http://www.gams.net/~mla> or query PGP key server for PGP key.
